The smoking in this photo, taken while on holiday in rural New South Wales, is deliberately ostentatious. It was taken after smoking in pubs had been banned back home in New Zealand, so it was somewhat of a novelty. Smoking inside in public was banned in New South Wales as well the following year.
Nothing, nada, zilch – I couldn’t come up with anything for Jennifer’s one word photo challenge theme of Tornado. But I have posted for every single one of these challenges since June last year and didn’t want to draw a total blank. Here is a wee placeholder
“Air New Zealand Teal” dates back to the airline’s earlier incarnation as Trans Empire Air Lines. The colour is disappearing from New Zealand skies as the airline transitions to a black and white livery.
