I’m a bit lucky – I got the macro lens I’ve been hankering after for an early birthday present.
It wasn’t the best day to take it for a first shoot – it was really a bit windy to be photographing flowers and leaves. Its going to take a bit of practice to get really comfortable with how close to get and whats the best aperture in different circumstances.
I did get 3 or 4 photos that I was relatively happy with for a first effort – including this one.

Enjoy your new lens; when I got mine, everything was a macro shot for about 2 months 😂

Lovely photo. I love my macro lens, although it took a while to get used to it.
