Slip sliding away

After a VERY wet winter the ground in Wellington became sodden.

The result was 670 slips in the six weeks from August 22.

This was a minor one, but elsewhere people were forced from their homes

Symptomatic of our times

In around half an hour the New Zealand government is going to announce whether they are removing the last of the COVID measures in place – including mandatory face coverings on public transport and in shops.

Hopefully it will mean the end of the carelessly discarded mask – the scourge of the early 2020s
