Thursday’s Special: Breaking the Rules

So, I probably shouldn’t have

I justified this to myself on the basis that my subject is the sign, not the merchandise  the sign was about.

The fact that I was shooting with a long lens so not as to attract attention also meant I couldn’t find a composition that excluded the pole – thus breaking the ‘avoid distractions in your shot’ rule.
