Gollum
Wellington Airport and Weta Workshop celebrate their association (they are both in the Miramar/Rongatai area) with a number of large sculptures depicting scenes from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies including this 13 metre long, 1.2 tonne gollum suspended from the terminal ceiling. The airport (in central New Zealand) also brands itself as “the middle of middle earth”

Gollum was creepy enough in a small size, but this is something else altogether!!
