There was a time when almost all of my summer memories were about cricket. There was one year in my early teens where I watched at least some of every day of first class cricket at Eden Park – even getting the bus there straight from school to catch the post tea session later in the year. While I still retain an interest in the game (particularly in those rare periods when New Zealand is doing well) I rarely go to a match these days.
This February’s test against India at the Basin Reserve was the first time I had been to a game live for several years. It was also a chance to experiment with my new camera – my first DSLR – which I had only had for about six weeks at this point

Reminds me of watching New Zealand beating England at Eden Park way back in about ’84 or so! Thanks for those summer memories!
